K9 Veterans

The case film above pretty much says it all. But despite serving in nearly every historical war, our K9 Veterans have gone largely unrecognized. Even with an established date of March 13, National K9 Veterans Day had virtually no awareness. So, with Freedom Through Their Eyes, DreamBone finally gave these K9 heroes the honor they deserve.

To create a new symbol, we discovered a way to present freedom as dogs have always seen it. Studies show that dogs only see in shades of blue and yellow. So, we reimagined the American Flag through a dog’s eyes: changing the familiar red, white and blue to yellow, white and blue.

Flying The Flag

We ceremoniously flew an 8’ x 12’ flag at the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, created custom dog bandanas to be given out at dog parks, and passed out handheld flags at the ceremony. We even created an AR experience that allows you to see the world through a dog’s eyes. And, for one proud day, we encouraged everyone to fly this symbol on social media with a custom Facebook profile frame.

And, of course, it was all for a good cause. Our efforts drove to a landing page where you could donate to help Project K-9 Hero’s mission to improve the lives of K9 Veterans across the country. And with a $250 donation, you could get a K9 Veterans Flag of your own.
